Live Tracking via Satellite
since the beginning of this season we put a so called "Spot messenger" in each of our backup vehicles. We were quite impressed by this little tool since quite a while but due to no satellite coverage in southern Africa we couldn`t use it so far. Finally there is some coverage now so that the messenger did start to work a few month ago. Normally the unit sends a message with the exact position details to a satellite every 10 minutes. This position can be seen on the website than. Unfortunately the coverage is quite weak yet but at least you can see where we are every day. Sometimes it happens that a signal is sent only after a few hours but that is still better than nothing :-)
you can see in the moment:
from 7.2. Windhoek Cape Town (unfortunately no good coverage in South Africa)
