Good Hope Tour South Africa
Tourprofile: a combination of tar and gravel roads, daily stages of between 200-300 km,
An enjoyable journey in all aspects.....during the 2500 km tour we will most likely travel across every single mountain pass that we come across. Starting with the world famous "Chapmans Peak" we will continue along he fascinating coastal roads to the Garden Route. We will visit Hermanus and Knysna and will pass the world's highest Bungee Jump (you are welcome to try it if you dare), the Tsitsikama National Park and a private game park. Then the journey continues via Outshoorn and the famous Swartberg pass until we reach Prince Albert, where the singer Brian Finch (Gravel Travel Song) resides.
The spectacular and very steep mountain pass (loose gravel) "de hell" can be tackled on the rest days by those enduro-freaks that are daring enough. Narrow roads then take us via the Klein Karoo and back to the east across Montagu, Tulbagh and Paarl into the wonderful wine region of Stellenbosch, where we will spend the night at a former wine estate. We have thought of something really unique for our last evening together....simply AmaZink
